IÂ sent this to the Argus after reading Stephanie’s column about the Prez sending more troops. In the beginning of her column, she says she is ‘skeptical’ of the plan to send more, but at the end of the column, she pretty much just gives up on doing anything about it. Hey Stephanie, you can’t have it both ways. I’m beginning to like her less and less.

Ok, #1. Ed Roth was a Morman when he died, so Jesus wasn’t in the picture (unless he was talking to the Mayans)
#2. Don’t defile my hero with your crazy fish rod!
#3. Rat Fink rules, Disney does not.

Well according to Shawn ‘Scare the shit out of old people’ Cable, the Snow isn’t coming until Sunday, so this weekend would be a good one to have frickin’ fun!
Tonight is Jolie Holland at the Orpheum Theater, Downtown SF. Jolie is a Rag-Time, Folk, Roots Country Swooner. Recently the NY Times claimed she was a part of the ‘Freak Folk’ movement that Devandra Bandhart has made popular. Basically if you like the female singer from the Squirrel Nut Zippers and Lucinda Williams, you will cream your drawers at this concert. She ain’t bad looking either, and she is bringing her whole f’ing band!
Afterwards there is a reception and post-concert talk at the Touch of Europe. I guess Jeremy ‘White Funk’ Hegg is going to tell us how great the concert we just saw was (I’ll be busy cleaning my drawers).
Check out www.toejazz.com. This is the new Touch of Europe website. It has the entertainment schedule and pictures. A menu and video will be added soon! And BTW, it will be updated on a regular basis.
Saturday night will be swinging! Dakota Jazz Collective will have the full band down at the TOE and Urban Blues will be kicking it at World Imports. Since these two establishments are only 2 blocks away from each other and both are free shows, there is no f’ing excuse not to make both of them.

In June I will have a NEW exhibit at Michelle’s coffee. I have a lot of new paintings to show off but also will be including all the political cartoons I have done in the past year. Since June of 2006 I have created 46 cartoons. Since my humor is a bit dark and sometimes crass, I haven’t submitted them all to the Argus Leader or the Rapid City Journal, but they have appeared in other publications (Scrounge) and on my blog and friend’s blogs.
Here’s the stats:
46 Cartoons total
14 Printed in Argus Leader
1 Commissioned Illustration from the Argus Leader
1 In Rapid City Journal
My goal for 2007 is to reach the 100 mark by June.

This is the cover of the movie soundtrack CD that we will be releasing soon. The music from the ENTIRE concert was so good, we decided to make a CD of it too. Jim and Jesse are currently picking the tunes they want on it. Originally we were going to release this with the DVD, but it was too much of a hassle, plus, we probably won’t be able to sell the DVD for at least a year (due to festivals, etc.) so I wanted to at least get the music out there. Once we start selling the Movie, I will offer it as a package deal, with or without the DVD.

This one printed in the Argus Leader today, actually I did 3 versions: ‘THE WORST’ – ‘THE MOST DYSFUNCTIONAL’ & ‘THE MOST POINTLESS’ (Which printed). I like this toon. That’s supposed to be Mikey ‘conflict of Interest’ Rounds. I designed this after seeing an old Barnum & Bailey circus poster. When I was seven I saw the actual 3-ringer under the big top, and still remember the stench of the animal manure, or was it the clowns?!
Fellow Angus Liar cartoonist Jason Folkerts says he has seen very few of my cartoons in the paper. I kind of understand his reasoning, first off, I don’t do very many, and secondly I try to do different styles of illustration, so I’m sure it’s hard to track my stuff. Art is an experimentation.

I came across it today on their website. It is really crappy, i used the paintbrush tool in Illustrator, I suck. Larry Aerosmith helped me on this one I guess – he does ‘bad inkz’
