Fishbone was a fantastic show Friday night! It’s been years since I have Skanked all night! WooHoooooooo!

I want to commend Nutty’s North for making it a NON-SMOKING show and not overselling the event.

Local Newbies THE BRICKHOUSE BOYS who opened were great too.

 

I’ve been recycling stuff lately, trying to get the Manor up to snuff. Apparently it has been awhile. I found these two tidbits last night.

The Hooters check brings back memories. On Wednesday nights you could get a pitcher of beer and 20 wings for $6. Killer. I miss that place. I remember when Victoria Jackson was here at the comedy club, she was making jokes about Hooters and asked if we had one and a guy yelled out “It Closed” and Victoria said “Why?” and I yelled “No Hooters.”

The GloryHoles ticket brings back memories. I can’t believe that 10 years ago they were charging $13 to see a local band! Nowdays you can’t get people to pay $1. But of course it was the Pomp Room!
